Paige Thomas

Paige began her ballet training at the age of 10. Before the age of 12, she was already winning scholarships and attending prestigious ballet schools such as North Carolina School of the Arts, Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet. At age 14, she was recruited by Artistic Director David Maroni, and left home to study with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada. At 16, she graduated from high school and began her professional experience, which included The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company, The National Ballet du Canada and The Pacific Northwest Ballet.
Paige returned to Winnipeg for her teachers’ education, and then moved back to Montana to open her school. She served 6 years as the scholarship director for the Montana Dance Arts Association, has choreographed for dance competitions and has directed several ballet productions such as “The Nutcracker”. She operated her own studio for many years before joining Ballet Bitterroot Performing Arts and becoming their Artistic Director. In addition to teaching classical ballet, she pursued nursing through the University of Montana and earned her RN license in 2010.

Paige is a passionate teacher and incorporates her love of dance and children with carefully planned technical training. She recently moved to Missoula and is excited to join our staff and teach alongside her sister Pam Copley.
