Pam Copley

Pam’s passion for dance began as a 5 year old. As a student, she received many ballet awards and scholarships including the Banff School of the Arts, The San Francisco Ballet and First Chamber Ballet.

When Pam made the decision to teach ballet, she attended the Hartford Ballet’s Teacher Training Program for a year and studied the pedagogy of teaching children’s ballet. Upon completion of this course, she opened her first dance studio over 35 years ago and she has since taught in Missoula and Helena, Montana.

Pam has served on an advisory council to the Montana Arts Council, was the President of the Montana Dance Arts Association for several years as well as a board member for many years. She was the Artistic Directory of Garden City Ballet for 5 years and currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Fine Arts School for the University of Montana.

Former students have received scholarships to some of the most prestigious dance programs in the country. Additionally, Pam has current/former dancers performing at a professional level with American Ballet Theatre, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Arizona Ballet, Smuin Ballet, Kelsey Kirkland Studio Company and Pacific Northwest Ballet
